Privacy Policy

• Account data: name, email address, and encrypted password when you register.
• Trading data: trades you log manually or that sync from a connected broker — entry/exit price, direction, P&L, strategy tags, psychology notes, and screenshots you choose to upload.
• Broker API credentials: if you connect a broker, your API key and secret are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before storage. We request read-only permissions only and never place, modify, or cancel trades on your behalf.
• Demo trading data: virtual balance, simulated positions, and paper-trade history from the built-in Demo Terminal. This never touches real funds or a real broker account.
• Usage data: basic technical logs (device type, browser) used for debugging and security monitoring.

• To operate your journal — display trades, calculate statistics, and sync broker data.
• To power the AI Assistant, AI Statistics Analyst, and AI Calculator, which analyze your journal data (and, if you choose to upload one, a chart screenshot) to generate insights. These features never receive your broker API keys.
• To run the Demo Trading Terminal — live floating P&L, TP/SL, and liquidation simulation on your virtual balance.
• To maintain account security and prevent unauthorized access.

Data is stored using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security, meaning your data is only accessible to your own authenticated account. Broker API keys are encrypted at rest and decrypted only in memory, server-side, when syncing trades. All traffic between your device and EdgeTrade is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS.

EdgeTrade never holds your money and never has withdrawal permissions. We only read your trade history for the brokers you explicitly connect, including:

EdgeTrade's Demo Terminal lets you practice with a simulated virtual balance — no real money, no live broker order, and no market execution ever occurs. Positions, take-profit/stop-loss levels, and simulated liquidations are stored only to power your dashboard and history, and are clearly separated from your real broker-synced trades at all times.

• Supabase — database, authentication, and backend functions.
• Netlify — website hosting and deployment.
• Broker/Exchange APIs — read-only trade history sync, only for brokers you explicitly connect.
• AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini, Groq) — process journal text you submit to the AI Assistant/Analyst to generate responses. No broker credentials are ever sent to these providers.
• TradingView — charting library used to display market charts.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect a broker or delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your stored trades, journal entries, and encrypted credentials from our systems.

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time through the app, or by contacting us through the in-app Support option.

We use minimal essential cookies and local storage strictly for session authentication — no third-party advertising trackers.

EdgeTrade is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy as EdgeTrade evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
